I Started A YouTube Channel

It’s been on my mind for a while to engage more with the people I listen to and watch in the vegan community. I love the YouTube platform and think it’s a great way to convey a more personal message to readers and friends.

just-start

I made my first video yesterday and it’s pretty raw, but I just had to take the plunge. I was inspired and encouraged by the guys at Thought For Food (@tfflifestyle) to JUST START and not be perfect. It was a hard concept to grasp, but honestly, I can only get better from here 😉

Let me know what you want me to talk about!

  1. Oh – so fun to hear your voice! 🙂 So I was wondering – I know a couple of years ago you were eating stuff at work like “real” cheese, etc., or maybe a cricket bar here and there. When you say you’ve been vegan for x number of years, do you not include the times you maybe ate something non-vegan?

I’d love to watch your youtube channel if you decide to go that route instead of blogging more often.

I’d really like to learn more about a full day in the life of eats. Like if you run at 8 am what time do you eat throughout the day? A full detailed thing would be great. Because I have fallen into the underfueling rut and when I try to eat more, I feel all bloated. I’m trying to up the calories but i feel so full! Started losing a ton of energy and my running suffered big time. Since it SEEMS like you are able to run so well while still being vegan and super thin, I’m really curious on the fueling thing.

    Thanks so much,
    Amanda

    1. I’d also love to know:

      – how you decide what run you are going to do for the day. Do you mix a bunch of different plans or follow one for one training cycle and then follow another? Like Hansons or do you make up your own?

      – next race ideas? would you be open to posting or discussing about future races you are thinking about? maybe blog readers would try to aim for a similar race and we could all talk post-race 🙂

  2. Wow Amanda has some really good questions:

    I would love to know:

    1) How do you do running breaks?

    2) How many races a year do you like to sign up for without being burnt out?

    3) Where you work… 🙂 I’d love to hear about where you work. 🙂

    4) And most of all, just be you Ellie. Talk about whatever you want to share, and I’ll definitely watch.

  3. Congrats on the youtube channel. Video is becoming more and more prevalent, so cheers to you for being on top of social trends! I’d love to hear more talk about running, prep, pre/post race food/snacks (maybe showing those)? I love the Rich Roll podcast!
