My brain is mush right now. I spent the first three hours of my day running on the Black Diamond Trail, at first in pitch black, then surrounded by a green-brown-snow mix signaling Spring. It was a weird run. It felt like it went by very quickly, but also it was kind of boring to look at, so it felt cumbersome at the same time.
I was supposed to get in 23 miles, but I got in 21. I wanted time to get ready for work and wold down some breakfast before running to the next thing. I wasn’t able to get in my stretches afterwards so I’ll attempt to do them while at work now.
My watch also died right as I pushed stop, so I’m not sure of my splits or time. As I was leaving, it was already back to 48% but I don’t care enough to check them. I’ll see them when I get home. My next running investment should be a better watch, but this one ain’t broken so I’m not getting rid of it yet. I just need to remember to charge it.
Last night I got the news that I will eventually need to find a new parking spot. I was kind of down about it because my set up is so good, but I understand. Extension cords are a fire hazard and I am lucky they let me park there for as long as they did. Oh well, onto the next spot! I have a few options, so I’ll weigh the pros and cons of each and see where I end up. It might be a bit of a longer run to the gym or walk to work, but it’s worth it.
Alright, before I convince myself not to do them, I’m going to do my stretches.
Breakfast: two chocolate oatmeal packets (WalMart Oatmeal game is clutch) with a Glo-Raw cookie dough bar and peanut butter
